Monday Night Writers

Just wanted to take a minute and share a few things writerly:

First Fridays 7 pm: Open Mic prose reading at The Grove in South Park
at Juniper & 30th ( 30th & Fern & Juniper, South Park)
hosted by Amy Wallen (local writer/teacher)
I went this month. The vibe was nice. Folks were friendly. Writer/readers an ecclectic bunch, lots of different "voices" some mediocre writers, some awesome writers... I'll probably go to the June 3 event.
There was some snicky snacks, wine, other beverages...

Third Thursdays Writing Workshop 7-9pm
at Book Works in Del Mar at Flower Hill Mall (exit Via de la Valle) led by Jill Badonsky, creativity coach, muse extraordinaire. For all levels. Easy going no pressure, no critique, just writing prompts to get the pen moving. Share if you like. Or don't. $12
